Anthroprophh – U.F.O.

Collecting some thick resin residue from The Heads, Bristol’s Anthroprophh pick up where the previous incarnation finished and dive deep into the smoke filled archive of live performances on the aptly named album U.F.O., in which wobbly drones, dirty riffs, caveman drumming, noodly soloes, number stations and other found sounds come together in the form of an outer space concoction that will fill the hunger of even the most hungry heads. Disorienting and enlightening at the same time, it’s like a paradoxical maze where you feel better the more lost you are. The track list is in fact a list of towns in the UK where various UFO sightings took place over the years, hence the album title. Recommended!
